A good way to improve you running strength and develop good technique is to do hill reps or run hilly courses it’s not easy but it’s not meant to be.
Key points to focus on:
- Don’t have any excess hip sway or hunch over at the hips; you want a tall strong posture with a slight lean forward.
- On your toes and fast feet.
- Keep excess upper body movement to a minimum.
- Obviously hard up and recovery down the hill.
Depending on your fitness and racing goals depends on the incline, length and time of reps. Make sure you include a good warm up and cool down on the flat.
