Ironman Cairns Asia Pacific Championships 6th place in the pro field for me. (8:19). I had a good swim for me but not good enough for the pro ranks. A good bike considering the tough conditions and that it was just Cam and I, and had the 2nd fastest run split. I was hoping for more result wise but all things considered I am really happy with the effort.

The second image was in 2015 which was a significant moment in my journey as I was the fastest AGer, set the AG course record (8:36) and came 4th overall two seconds behind Dylan McNeice for 3rd. I now know this isn’t really comparable as the AG race and PRO race are very different tactically. But at the time it was the confidence to pursue the sport at the professional level.

The past 15 months have been really challenging for Victorian’s so I am very grateful to have been able to race yesterday and compete at my first full distance in 18 months.

I’ve blown out the cobwebs and shaken off some rust and nerves, and can’t wait to get to work towards the next one in 12 weeks time. 🤞

Massive thank you to all the cheers virtually and on course! I love it! And to my sponsors who make the journey possible. Seriously could not do the work without your support!
