Sorry it’s been so long since my last post. I have been trying some of the things that I learned at the Steve Born seminar and it really does work. You should read some of the articles at www.hammernutrition.com.au.

Other than that I would like to recommend the following products and fuelling methods.

Using a single bottle of fuel is an ideal method for race day or hard sessions as it takes out the guesswork and thought process you all have to think about is go hard! So I recommend perptum cafe latte flavour as it has all you need to keep going and an extra kick of caffeine. You just add how many calories you think you will need for the session in a concentrated bottle and have another bottle of water.

This way you don’t have to worry about upset stomachs or getting the wrong fuels at aid stations. And you can mix it up with hammer gel flasks; you add 1 or more servings of hammer gel to a hammer gel flask with water to dilute the solution. This is a good alternative to the gel sachets as you need not worry about rubbish, or carrying heaps of gels, also some people don’t like the thickness of the gel if this is you then diluting it in a gel flask is a great alternative and it works out much cheaper and has a very long shelf life.

For the need to chew,

I recommend either hammer bar choc chip or almond these I find hold their shape the best and are easiest to eat and digest as well as taste great!
